Here are my top 5 Christmas movies (in order):
- Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase. There are just so many classic moments and experiences we can all relate to that you just can’t miss it.
- A Christmas Carol — I like the one with George C. Scott. The other “knockoffs” just don’t deliver like this one.
- Christmas Story — We’ve all heard the line, “You’ll shoot your eye out!” I love the fact that this one gets played for 24 hours straight.
- The Best Christmas Pageant Ever — This was a made for TV movie I think, but it’s great. We actually have it in our church library.
- Miracle on 34th Street — Been watching this one since I was a kid and it’s just a classic.
I know there will be some who can’t believe movies such as “Elf” or “It’s a Wonderful Life” aren’t on my list, but that’s the point it’s MY list. You can give me your list if you like.

JP…I just have to tell you that A Christmas Carol with George C. Scott is a “knockoff”. I’m sorry, is that like telling you there is no Santa Clause? Please don’t be too upset. You might want to try the very, very best; the “original” with Alistair Sim as Scrooge (uncolorized of course). I know you may not even be aware of this one in your young, young age since it was before your time (mine too if you want to be technical), but like original coke the new ones just don’t compare. I hope your Christmas was blessed and full of family love.

Pam, I knew the George C. Scott one wasn’t the original, but to me it’s the signature copy. Anyway, I knew there would be folks who wouldn’t agree with my list. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Do it anytime. P.S. Have a very Happy New Year!!!
