Ok, this week we are starting a 3 week series on “Heaven.” I’m excited to see what it’s like and how it unfolds (the series . . . not heaven itself . . . although I’m excited about that too.) Anyway, I hope the series is more than just the typical communication and talking points we’ve come to expect when the subject of heaven comes up, and really does more to complete our understanding and whet our appetites for eternity.
However, in lieu of this series I’m soliciting questions you may have about heaven. I certainly don’t want to claim I know all the answers, but if nothing else I want to try and point people to Scripture where we can find truths that will shape our understanding of heaven.
Do you have questions? Do you have things you’ve wondered? If so, post them here or send them to srpastor@fcc-online.org. I’m going to try and answer a couple of questions each week during our series. So, check back often and see if your question was selected or what questions others are asking.
See you Sunday!

J.P. No questions, just a note to say how much I appreciated your message this morning (Aug 17). I listened with tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat. I’ve never heard such a mature message about such a difficult topic. Your choice of scriptures were perfect, your emphasis on being with God rather than being “someplace” was so God-honoring, and your delivery heartfelt and sincere. Being 60 years old, I’m amazed how the Lord has gifted you with the ability to bring forth profound truth at an early age. We were all privileged to hear such a Biblically sound message served up from a sincere hearted shepherd. I am thankful to have been there to hear and experience. I turned to my wife and whispered in her ear, “This was a great message.” I don’t know that I’ve ever said that before. And I meant it.
Thank you. And thank you, Lord. harold.

I’ve heard differing opinions on this, and wonder if there is something Scriptural I’ve missed about it, but if someone dies as a child, will they still be a child when we see them again in Heaven? Since Jesus loves children dearly, and wants us to have faith like a child, it would almost seem He would enjoy them that way in Heaven. Since reality is that babies, even unborn ones die, I’m hoping to get to rock a few when I’m there. That would be a piece of Heaven to me–though the thing I look most forward to is that hug from Jesus as I arrive, laying a crown at His feet that He deserves, and hoping to hear “well done, good and faithful servant!”
